Proverbs 17:27-28

"He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he his considered perceptive."

I'm working my way through Proverbs right now. Reading that book is good exercise. There's definitely no beating around the bush with Proverbs. Reading Proverbs is a lot like doing push-ups. It doesn't sound fun, it hurts while you're doing it, and it hurts afterwards. You don't really see the benefit until later.
But, it is worth it, so if you need a Bible reading plan, I'd suggest digging into Proverbs for a while. (don't forget to have a pencil on hand.)

This is what it looks like when I read Proverbs:

Read for a while... ooh, ow.... read a little more... hey! wait... read a little more... ouch...

So, I breathe a little sigh, and press on through the book, looking forward to the day when it doesn't hurt so much. Goodness, there is a lot in there... and a lot of it is about words. Rather important and incredibly painful at times for a blogger, writer, speaker, and debater. But hey, no pain, no gain, right?

Pain is weakness leaving your character.
[no, that's not how the original motto goes, but it's true too, so oh well.]

Well, my little spiel is over. Have a great week, and I'll post again later, if I am not buried under my school books.

Desiderio Domini,
~Rachel

No, I will not stoop to begging for comments through annoying blinkies... but please?
