On Fear

♫ Thought: Fear is the most irrational, persistent, paralyzing emotion I've ever experienced. No wonder God advises us to fear not. Because of Christ, we don't have to, it does us no good, and once it latches on, it's hard to lose. God, don't let me live in fear.

Courageous

Confusion is strong, and pride clouds the mind,
My heart is distracted and the world can seem kind,
I've fallen low so many times.

So prone to failure, and easily fooled,
I want to know what is right and true,
But I'm afraid of the storm I am in,
and I fall in the mud again.

Then I hear my Savior's voice say,
"I'll give you strength for today.
Falling is human, and standing is of grace,
Trust in My promise and you'll see My face."
He makes me courageous.

The world is my battleground and sin has it's hold,
But Christ is my victory, I'm never alone.
Though I am unworthy and the journey is long,
The One I fight for is strong.
